Rental Terms of Service
CGR Appliance Co ("CGR," "we," "us") rents washing machines and dryers to customers ("you") in and around Gilroy, California. By reserving a rental you agree to these terms and to the separate written Rental Agreement signed at delivery, which controls if there is any conflict.
- Rental, not sale. All equipment remains the property of CGR at all times. A rental is not a sale, rent-to-own, or lease-to-purchase, and no ownership transfers to you.
- Term. Rentals have a six-month minimum term, then continue month-to-month until either party gives 14 days' written notice.
- Delivery & setup. We deliver, install, and test the equipment. Delivery and setup are free within 20 miles of Gilroy; beyond that a flat delivery fee is quoted before you commit.
- Care & use. You agree to use the equipment for normal household laundry, keep it in good condition, and give us reasonable access to service or recover it.
- Repairs. We cover repairs for normal wear and mechanical failure. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or relocation is your responsibility.
- No relocation. Equipment must stay at the delivery address and may not be moved without our written consent.
Billing & Payment
The first month's rent plus a refundable security deposit are due at delivery. After that, the monthly rate is charged automatically to the payment method on file on your monthly billing date. Card and bank-debit processing is handled securely by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card or bank numbers ourselves.
You authorize CGR to charge the payment method on file for monthly rent, applicable taxes, late fees, and any amounts owed under the Rental Agreement. A late fee applies to payments not received within the grace period stated in your agreement.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- During the minimum term: The six-month minimum is a commitment. If you end the rental early, the remaining balance of the minimum term and pickup costs may be due, as set out in your Rental Agreement.
- After the minimum term: Cancel anytime with 14 days' written notice. We schedule a pickup and stop billing at the end of the current billing period.
- Monthly charges: Monthly rental fees are for the right to use the equipment during that period and are generally non-refundable once the period has begun.
- Security deposit: Your deposit is refundable within 30 days after the equipment is returned in good condition, minus any unpaid amounts or charges for damage beyond normal wear.
- Delivery issues: If we can't deliver working equipment as agreed and can't promptly resolve it, any prepaid first-month rent for undelivered equipment is refunded.
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need to provide the rental: your name, contact details, delivery address, identification for verification, and payment information. Payment details are processed by our payment processor under their security standards; we retain limited records needed for billing and our agreement with you.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (such as our payment processor) or when required by law. To ask what information we hold or request corrections, email hello@cgrappliance.co.
